Not sure which foods you should eat to balance your Ayurvedic doshas? Trying to balance two doshas at the same time and want to know what is favored and to be avoided by both? The Ayurveda Food Guide is the solution youve been waiting for.

With over 375 food and drink types across 15 categories, the Ayurveda Food Guide provides a comprehensive, searchable directory that is always in your pocket. Now when youre at the grocery store or eating out at a restaurant you can more easily maintain your Ayurvedic diet.

The app allows you to select which dosha(s) youd like to balance and then enables you to search for specific items or browse for items by category with avoid/favor signs for Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The app provides helpful comments when certain food items should not be combined with others, if it is more important for a food to be organic, and other useful tips.

If youre not sure which Ayurvedic dosha(s) you should be balancing, the app provides instructions for obtaining an email-based evaluation by Ayurvedic Guru Michael Dick, who provided the content for this app based on millennium-old Ayurvedic knowledge.

Michael has been advising people on how to practice Ayurveda for wellness for over 20 years. He began studying Ayurveda in the 80s and Dr. Deepak Chopra invited Michael to participate in a two-year masters level curriculum in Maharishi Ayurveda, which he completed in 1993. Michael also completed the Ayurvedic Studies Program (ASP) and several iterations of Gurukula at The Ayurvedic Institute, where he subsequently taught the re-formatted ASP course as well as courses for advanced students that he designed — such herbology, classical texts, and study of quality. Michael founded the Dhanvantari Ayurveda Center in Florida, where he is now based. The Dhanvantari Ayurveda Centers mission is to spread the spiritually-oriented health message of Ayurveda.

We welcome your feedback on the app so that we can continue to improve it in later versions. Thank you and Namaste.
